The VIU Mariners Hockey Club has announced that they will be bringing in veteran coach Dave Johnston as the new head coach for the 2023-2024 BCIHL Season. Dave brings in years of experience at both the Junior A and Junior B level, most recently with the Nanaimo Buccaneers but also previously with the Nanaimo Clippers, Oceanside Generals, Fort St. John Academy, and the U18 AAA Silvertips.
Dave is very excited to join the club. "I am extremely excited to be joining the VIU Mariners Hockey Club." Says Dave, "I am looking forward to working with GM Andrew Riddell and the rest of our incredible board as we all work hard to bring our City and our School a league Championship."
