The Mariners are excited to announce that BCHL veteran Curtis McCarrick will be joining the team as an assistant coach. Curt spent 4 seasons with the Powell River Kings of the BC Hockey League as a player and 2 seasons with the Mariners as a player. He brings in a wealth of hockey experience and the team is excited to have him on board.
On the new role, Curt had this to say:
"(I'm) super excited to have the opportunity to join the VIU Mariners Hockey Club. With a strong passion for the game, and being a graduate of VIU, this was a nice fit. Grateful to be joining such a great group of staff and players that will collectively work together to bring Nanaimo and VIU a league championship."
